With experience of the last four decades of the 20th Century, I am always looking to find those items which have given such joy (and functionality?) in the past and are deserving of a place in today’s world.
Although ‘retro’ may seem a flexible concept, I believe it does suggest an entire outlook on life, placed in the immediate post-war years. Retro to me spells a sense of timelessness, a classic quality.
I am always looking for quirky and attractive products which are not “modern” ,but are objects with attitude from the past which are nevertheless in tune with today.
As my journey progresses, I will probably have to revisit this page and amend or expand on what is ‘retro’.But,you know, a rigid definition doesn’t do it. It’s a feeling you have. It’s not always about what you need, but what you want in your life.
